A widespread, low-growing native wildflower with blue-white or purple speckles emerging as some of the first flowers of spring. The heart shaped, dark green leaves remain throughout the summer, covering & protecting. Violets slowly spread through both underground rhizomes and seeds, and can make the perfect edible wildflower patch or act as a complimentary understory plant for most spaces.
