Every walking Stick I create is completely unique, and I include the rough dimensions for each one. I'd reccomend a length 10-15" shorter than your total body height. Each walking stick is crafted from downed, foraged branches and sticks. Each piece is stored/dried for various periods until ready, then debarked by hand with a draw-knife and knife. Each piece is sanded with a random orbit sander, then polished with 3 layers of a handmade polish made of coconut oil and a hint of beeswax. Each layer is laid out in the sun for a whole day to sun-bake/sun-dry. The result is a sturdy, water and pest-resistant laquer. Depending on the wood type, scraping or striking the walking stick on rough surfaces can damage the coating and result in variously rapid rates of decay when exposed to moisture or water.
